Talan Olmstead was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. Olmstead is crushing the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. A.W. Poke was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the loss, Training Center Christian saw an underclassman step up: Creed Lopez dropped a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds. Lopez is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Bryan, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds.
Ozanam's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Training Center Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
Ozanam will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Independence Home School at 5:00 p.m. Independence Home School will roll in looking for their 13th straight win, something Ozanam surely won't give up without a fight. As for Training Center Christian, they and Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Training Center Christian is facing Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy at the right time seeing as Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
