Northern Valley (3-2) and Wilson (1-4) are set to face off this Friday at 7:00 PM. Wilson will be looking to take advantage of a struggling Northern Valley defense that has allowed an average of 29.6 points per game.
Northern Valley dominated last week, steamrollering Lakeside 46 - 0. No one had a larger role in the success than senior Caden Kinderknecht, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 168 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. Kinderknecht has been a consistent playmaker for Northern Valley as this was the 5th good game in a row from him. As for Wilson, things didn't go well at all for it last week, where the team lost 62 - 12 to Thunder Ridge.
The last time they met,, the final might easily have been mistaken for a basketball score. Northern Valley was the 74 - 50 victor. It had a lot of yards that game (468) and will likely be setting its aim high again. The rematch might be a little tougher for it since the team will be on Wilson's home field this time. We'll soon find out whether that makes a difference or not.
