Hampton Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Mikaela Lee, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Hampton Christian Academy's points. Mahdy Sigler was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Portsmouth Christian still got an impressive performance from Adrianna Reynolds, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. Reynolds hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cloee Comberiati, who scored eight points.
The win for Hampton Christian Academy keeps them at an undefeated 16-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33 points. As for Portsmouth Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hampton Christian Academy will take on Denbigh Baptist Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hampton Christian Academy is coming into the match with eight straight victories at home, meaning Denbigh Baptist Christian will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. Portsmouth Christian will take on Richmond Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Portsmouth Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 369th, while Richmond Christian is ranked 175th).
