South Tahoe is 0-10 against Elko since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The South Tahoe Vikings' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Elko Indians at 5:15 p.m. on February 12th. Winning is just a little bit easier when your three-point shooting is a whole 23% better than the opposition, a fact South Tahoe proved on Friday. They came out on top against Sparks by a score of 60-50.
South Tahoe got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kai McClain out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Tannaci, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Elko beat Spring Creek 56-46 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Elko.
South Tahoe is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season. As for Elko, their victory bumped their record up to 16-8.
South Tahoe ended up a good deal behind Elko in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, losing 50-35. Can South Tahoe avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
