The Veritas Classical Academy Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They secured a 62-57 W over Lighthouse HomeSchool. With that win, Veritas Classical Academy brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Ty Merrill was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. Mercer Montgomery was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Veritas Classical Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-4. As for Lighthouse HomeSchool, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Veritas Classical Academy will face off against Hull-Daisetta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hull-Daisetta is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Lighthouse HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Deweyville at 12:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
