St. John's Prep faced St. John in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pioneers, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but St. John's Prep sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

St. John's Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-1-3. As for St. John's, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches.
