Navajo Prep is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Rehoboth Christian a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Navajo Prep Eagles will be playing at home against the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 3:00 p.m. Rehoboth Christian took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Navajo Prep, who comes in off a win.
Navajo Prep made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Shiprock, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Navajo Prep put the hurt on Shiprock with a sharp 12-6 victory on Friday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Jashyro Bileen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off 12 hits. Bileen was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Khol Johnson and Koltyn Holyan did most of the damage at the plate: Johnson scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Holyan scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-5. Navajo Prep is 2-1 when Johnson posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kayden Nez, who scored a run while going 4-for-5.
Navajo Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Rehoboth Christian's offense. They came up short against Miyamura on Friday, falling 7-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Lynx were not able to get on the board.
Navajo Prep's win bumped their record up to 2-10. As for Rehoboth Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Rehoboth Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Navajo Prep hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Rehoboth Christian, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Navajo Prep's hitters?
Navajo Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Rehoboth Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 9-5. Does Navajo Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rehoboth Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
