South View posted their biggest victory yet this season last Friday. They breezed by Douglas Byrd on the road to the tune of 64-20. With South View ahead 40-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
South View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demarcus Spearman, who scored 18 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Spearman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mikayle Oliphant, who scored eight points along with 11 steals and eight rebounds.
New Life Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for South View, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Monday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: New Life Christian Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having drained 58.8% of their threes per game.
