Given Life Center Academy's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 146th in New Jersey, while The City School is ranked 371st in Pennsylvania), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Life Center Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Elijah Brown, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Brown is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Al-Tariq Reevey, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks.
Life Center Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. As for The City School, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Life Center Academy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sports Leadership & Management at 2:00 p.m. As for The City School, they will head out on the road to face off against Solebury at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Solebury's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches.
