Two dominant  backs in  Floyd Sinegal and  Kylan Bobo are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Horn Lake Eagles will square off against the Tupelo Golden Wave at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

 Horn Lake's receiving core played a big role in the win, headlined by  Jason Edwards Jr and  Braylon King. Edwards Jr threw for 168 yards  on 11 of 20 attempts while  King picked up 105 receiving yards. That's the most  receiving yards  King has posted since back in October of 2024.

 Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Tupelo proved: they limited Hernando to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. The Golden Wave didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.7.
 Horn Lake's record is now 5-2. As for Tupelo, their record now sits at 7-1.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Horn Lake has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 191.3  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Tupelo struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 292.6  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Horn Lake might still be hurting after the  34-13 defeat they got from Tupelo  when the teams last played  back in October of 2020. That  game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down  21-0.
