Villa Madonna is a perfect 10-0 against Ludlow since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. Villa Madonna will head out to challenge Ludlow at 12:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.

Villa Madonna had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 21-run drubbing they dealt Newport on Friday. Villa Madonna put the hurt on Newport with a sharp 25-4 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Vikings, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ludlow). Everything went their way against Robertson County on Friday as Ludlow made off with a 19-4 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Black Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ludlow got a massive performance out of Shelby Ralston, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits Ralston has posted since back in May of 2024. Miley Lay was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Villa Madonna's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ludlow, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Villa Madonna took their win against Ludlow in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-0. Will Villa Madonna repeat their success, or does Ludlow has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
