The Seminole Ridge Hawks will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Glades Day Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seminole Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
Seminole Ridge is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since April 1, 2024 on Wednesday. They blew past Oxbridge Academy 13-2. The Hawks' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
John Repinski looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grady Endemann, who went 4-for-5 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he's launched this season. Chase Gray was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Seminole Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Glades Day was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Palm Beach Gardens, falling 21-2.
Glades Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Perez, who went a perfect1-for-1 with one RBI.
Glades Day now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Seminole Ridge, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Seminole Ridge has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Glades Day struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Seminole Ridge's way against Glades Day in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Seminole Ridge made off with an 8-2 victory. Does Seminole Ridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Glades Day turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
