USA Basketball has received commitments from 21 players to participate in the in the Men’s U18 National Team training camp, the organization announced Thursday.
The session will be held at the University of Texas at San Antonio, June 14-16. The USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee will pick 12 of those players to comprise a team that will compete in the 2010 FIBA Americas U18 Championship, which will be held June 26-30 in San Antonio.
The event will feature eight national teams from North, South and Central America, as well as the Caribean. The USA will open against Mexico on June 27 at 7 p.m.
With the exception of University of Washington freshman Abdul Gaddy, all of the invitees are current high school seniors or juniors.
