The Leroy Bears had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Coosa Christian on Thursday. The victory was just business as usual for Leroy, who after 14 games remain undefeated this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leroy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ja'kavien Collins, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Those 96 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Collins. Brayden Huebner was another key contributor, throwing for 117 yards and a touchdown.
Leroy's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Coosa Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 12-2-1.
Leroy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coosa Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
