There's no place like home for Foundation Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Davenport Broncos on Saturday as Foundation Academy made off with a 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Drew Calhoun looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Barak Boston, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and three runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. David Hwang was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Foundation Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .647. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Davenport only posted an OBP of .188.

Foundation Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Davenport, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foundation Academy will host Edgewater at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Foundation Academy 3.4, Edgewater 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Davenport, they will be playing at home against East Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
