The Moffat County Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Basalt by a score of 70-62. The win was some much needed relief for Moffat County as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Among those leading the charge was Hudson Jones, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zaylan Kirby, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Several Longhorns players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Loomis, who scored 20 points along with nine assists and two steals. Calum Inglis was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Moffat County's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Basalt, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moffat County will square off against Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Basalt, they will head out on the road to face off against Steamboat Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
