After each having a week off, the Lyford Bulldogs and the Raymondville Bearkats will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Lyford's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 14-0 victory over Falfurrias.
Lyford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Pedro Rosas led the charge by rushing for 95 yards and a touchdown. The dominant performance gave Rosas a new career-high in rushing yards. Another player making a difference was Adrian Chavez, who gained 88 total yards and a touchdown.
