The Munster Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Munster is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
Last Wednesday, Munster beat Kankakee Valley 62-49.
Munster found their leader in underclassman Gracyn Gilliard, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Gilliard has scored at least a third of Munster's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Mason, who scored seven points along with seven assists and six steals.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Lake Station Edison were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 48-25 walloping at the hands of Andrean. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Station Edison has scored all season.
Munster is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Lake Station Edison, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
