The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flint River Academy in their matchups with LaGrange Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Flint River Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mylie Meadows, who scored 13 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Meadows has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacee Matheny, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Flint River Academy's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for LaGrange Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Coincidentally, Flint River Academy and LaGrange Academy will both be playing St. George's the next time they take the court. Flint River Academy will head out to face St. George's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while LaGrange Academy will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
