The La Joya Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for La Joya and four for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo.
La Joya might've scored the first goal on Tuesday, but it was Edinburg North who claimed the real prize. La Joya fell just short of Edinburg North by a score of 3-2.
Mariela Moreno and
Aidaliz Chapa did their best for La Joya and scored both of La Joya's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 24 so far this season.
Meanwhile, after a 5-4 finish the last time they played, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo and Economedes decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo fell 2-0 to Economedes on Saturday.
La Joya's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-3. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1.
