Silverdale Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the East Hamilton Hurricanes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Seahawks also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.
Airebis Cox made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Cox was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple.
In other batting news, Allie Weber was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Heidi Bryant was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.
Silverdale Academy's win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
