El Dorado has gone a perfect 9-0 against Horizon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Aztecs will take on the Scorpions at 11:00 a.m. El Dorado will be strutting in after a victory while Horizon will be coming in after a defeat.
El Dorado took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bel Air as they made off with a 15-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Aztecs, who have now won eight games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Emma Villarreal made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alyssa Lopez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Isabella Rodriguez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI.
El Dorado was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Horizon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against Del Valle, falling 16-0.
El Dorado pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Horizon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.
El Dorado got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Horizon by a conclusive 22-0 score. Do the Aztecs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scorpions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
