The Brookfield Warriors's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They snuck past Liberty with a 36-32 win. The win was just what Brookfield needed coming off of a 51-26 defeat in their prior match.
Cailey Wellman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. Wellman is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Mya Jumper, who scored nine points.
Brookfield's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Liberty, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Brookfield will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Maplewood at 12:00 p.m. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to challenge Bristol at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
