After flying high against the Ezekiel Academy Knights last Tuesday, the East Central HomeSchool Patriots came back down to earth. East Central HomeSchool took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Tuscaloosa Home Educators on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Tuesday (60), East Central HomeSchool still had to take the loss.
Several Patriots players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Greyson Boyd, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Boyd is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Knetter, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
East Central HomeSchool's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7.
East Central HomeSchool will head out on the road to square off against Heritage Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Heritage Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while East Central HomeSchool is ranked 175th). As for Tuscaloosa Home Educators, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Evangel Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Evangel Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups.
