The Freedom Eagles had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 35-27 victory over James Madison.
It was another big night for Keilana Johnson, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Savannah Price, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Freedom now has a winning record of 5-4. As for James Madison, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freedom will square off against Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for James Madison, they will head out on the road to face off against Centreville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
