After three games on the road, Pagosa Springs is heading back home. They will take on the Eaton Reds at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Pagosa Springs rose to the challenge on Saturday. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over La Junta. The score was all tied up 7-7 at the break, but Pagosa Springs was the (much) better team in the second half.
Gavin Lindahl was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 186 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.5 yards per carry.
Meanwhile, Eaton waltzed into Saturday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They skirted past Kent Denver 31-28.
Eaton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Connor Davey out in front who threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns. Benson Hood was another key contributor, gaining 119 total yards and two touchdowns.
Pagosa Springs pushed their record up to 7-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Eaton, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
