If Warren was riding high fresh off their 41-20 takedown of South Gallia last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warren Warriors took a blow against the Federal Hocking Lancers on Friday, falling 68-35. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Warren's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Abby Wells, who posted six points, and Mackenzie James-McGuire, who scored 11 points and six rebounds. James-McGuire is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Pettey, who earned seven points.

Warren's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Federal Hocking, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Warren and Federal Hocking should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Warren (ranked 103rd) will meet Caldwell (ranked 569th) at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Federal Hocking (ranked 83rd) will meet Harvest Prep (ranked 366th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
