Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Finds Home Court Redemption Against Capital

There's no place like home for Buffalo, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Capital Cougars on Tuesday. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Buffalo never let Capital on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-19.

Amya Bias paced Buffalo's offense, picking up ten kills. Bias got some help from Emery Brookes and her 15 assists. Bias was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Despite the loss, Capital saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alexa Spruce had nine digs and two aces.

Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 11-23-2. As for Capital, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-21-4.

Coincidentally, Buffalo and Capital will both be playing Hurricane the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bison will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
