Volleyball Recap: Buffalo Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Buffalo can bid farewell to their four-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Capital Cougars. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bison also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

While Buffalo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Capital saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alexa Spruce had nine digs and two aces.

Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 11-21-2. As for Capital, they dropped their record down to 11-21-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Buffalo and Capital will both be playing Hurricane the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Redskins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bison will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
