The Kane Wolves will square off against the Otto-Eldred Terrors at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Kane's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Otto-Eldred's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Kane gave up the first runs last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They blew past Cameron County 11-1. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by ten runs or more this season.

Phinn Chamberlain made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Kane is 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise. Chamberlain was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Preston Darr was a standout: he scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Kane: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nate McCormack, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
Kane always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cameron County only posted an OBP of .158.
Meanwhile, Otto-Eldred posted their closest victory since April 22, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oswayo Valley, sneaking past 2-1. The Terrors haven't had any issues with the Green Wave recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Jared Obenrader spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits.
On the hitting side, Otto-Eldred saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Manning Splain, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Kane now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Otto-Eldred, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Otto-Eldred's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kane hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Otto-Eldred, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Kane's hitters?
Kane couldn't quite finish off Otto-Eldred in their previous matchup back in April of 2023 and fell 3-1. Will the Wolves have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
