The Cameron Dragons will head out on the road to take on the St. Marys Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cameron gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Bridgeport by a score of 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.
Lexi Bogard spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Cameron got a massive performance out of Skye Dobbs, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Dobbs a new career-high. Baylee Long also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Cameron lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Marys). They blew past Braxton County 16-1 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Autumn Mossor made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Alyssa Winland and Brylee McGrady did most of the damage at the plate: Winland got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double, while McGrady went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kinley Thomas, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Cameron's record now sits at 8-13. As for St. Marys, their record is now 12-17.
Cameron might still be hurting after the 11-3 defeat they got from St. Marys when the teams last played last Tuesday. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
