Basketball Recap: Kennedy Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Kennedy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jefferson Saints 95-19. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Commanders had established a 65-point advantage.

Kennedy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Zink out in front who dropped a double-double with 29 points and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Zink a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Benavidez, who almost dropped a double-double with 21 points and nine rebounds.

Jefferson dropped their record down to 0-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Kennedy will take on Arrupe Jesuit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
