Branson has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Ozark Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Branson pushed their score all the way to 67 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between them and Webb City wasn't particularly close, with Branson falling 86-67. While losing is never fun, Branson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 231st, while the Cardinals are ranked 77th).
Meanwhile, Ozark fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Falcons last Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 82-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Branson has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Ozark, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Branson couldn't quite finish off the Tigers in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 and fell 69-66. Can Branson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
