The Harrold Hornets will take on the Rotan Yellowhammers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Harrold is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
Harrold is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Non Varsity Opponent get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Hornets have won six games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Jayden Gray made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Harrold's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Carson Welch and Tripp Tamplen did most of the damage at the plate: Welch went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs, while Tamplen went a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Welch has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Joaquin Zambrano, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Harrold always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .767. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Rotan's offense. They lost 9-0 to Westbrook on Monday. The Yellowhammers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Having lost for the first time this season, Rotan fell to 3-1. As for Harrold, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Harrold hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. However, it's not like Rotan struggles in that department as they've averaged .348. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
