Rotan unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Wellman-Union an easy 60-35 victory.
Meanwhile, Hamlin scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 75-17 win over Throckmorton. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Hamlin has managed all season.
Hamlin relied on the efforts of AJ Rivera, who scored 16 points, and Luke White, who scored 19 points. The matchup was Rivera's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Leonard, who scored ten points.
Rotan's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Hamlin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
