A District 13 recap Sept. 26, 2012
Dresden extended the longest winning streak in A District 13 this week by beating Union City, 28-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
West Carroll moved up to 123 from 161 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The War Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of a 34-20 win over Gibson County.
Huntingdon's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jacob Warbritton threw for 20 yards and Tyler Bush had 20 yards receiving. On the ground Warbritton chipped in 229 yards.
Huntingdon's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Mustangs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Warbritton has thrown for 483 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Taylor McCarty has four catches for 148 yards. Warbritton also leads the league in rushing with 1180 yards.
