Bandys has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Foard Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bandys will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 412th, while Foard is ranked 102nd).
Bandys struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (St. Stephens had 1400% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Bandys fell just short of St. Stephens by a score of 48-45.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Rachel Anderson, who scored 16 points along with 9 assists and 5 rebounds. She scored a full 35.6% of Bandys' points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Dutka, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Foard put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Cherryville 63-32 on the road.
Bandys bumped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Foard, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Bandys lost to Foard on the road by a decisive 48-32 margin when the teams last played back in November. Can Bandys avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
