Divine Savior Academy - Sienna has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on Memorial Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Divine Savior Academy - Sienna was able to grind out a solid victory over Baytown Christian, taking the game 51-40.
Meanwhile, even though Living Stones Christian scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Memorial Lutheran still came out on top. Memorial Lutheran narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Living Stones Christian 60-57. The victory was just what Memorial Lutheran needed coming off of a 83-49 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for David Porter, who scored 36 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Divine Savior Academy - Sienna's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points per game. As for Memorial Lutheran, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Divine Savior Academy - Sienna didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Memorial Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 53-47 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Divine Savior Academy - Sienna since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
