On Friday, The Pulaski Academy Bruins faced the Greenwood Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Pulaski Academy was the victim of a rough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Greenwood. It was the first time this season that Pulaski Academy let down their fans at home.
Pulaski Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Brandon Cobb and Andrew Fiser. Cobb threw for 375 yards and four touchdowns, while Fiser picked up 215 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Fiser was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 69 yards.
Kane Archer was his usual excellent self, throwing for 274 yards and five touchdowns, while also punching in three touchdowns on the ground. Archer is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Arrington, who picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Pulaski Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Greenwood, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Pulaski Academy will head out on the road to face off against Lake Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Hamilton is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. As for Greenwood, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Little Rock Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. Little Rock Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
