The Johnson Jaguars will head out on the road to square off against the Lake Travis Cavaliers at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Johnson has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 6.
Johnson's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-1 to Westlake, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Johnson has not had much luck with Westlake recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lake Travis has not won a game since January 13th, a trend which continued on Tuesday. They fell just short of Bowie by a score of 3-2.
Johnson dropped their record down to 1-8-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Lake Travis, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7-3.
Johnson suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Lake Travis in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Johnson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
