Carl Junction lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cooper Vediz, who scored 12 points. The matchup was Vediz's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Pant, who scored 13 points.
Carl Junction has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Howell, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Carl Junction won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Webb City at 2:00 p.m. on January 5th. Webb City is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for Howell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Webster Groves at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
