For the first time this season, Eldorado will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Iraan Braves will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 949 yards in their previous games.
Eldorado came into their game last Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They took a blow against Harper, falling 47-20. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-12.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Iraan). They really took it to Reagan County for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-14 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Braves sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Iraan's win came from a few key players Eldorado will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Alex Reyes, who rushed for 63 yards and a pair of TDs on only seven carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Prather Schneemann, who threw for 228 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Iraan was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Iraan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brayden Martinez and Cristian Buitron. Another thorn in Reagan County's side was Mario Saucedo, who made 12 total tackles (3.5 for loss).
Eldorado now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Iraan, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Eldorado was dealt a bruising 70-30 loss at the hands of Iraan when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
