Last Friday, Trinity Collegiate was the victim of a rough 48-23 defeat at the hands of Laurence Manning Academy. Trinity Collegiate was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Courtlyn Brunson, who picked up 80 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brunson's longest reception was for an incredible 75 yards.
Even if they lost, Trinity Collegiate's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Leading the way was Niccol? Ubaldini and his three sacks.
Meanwhile, Hammond had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They blew past Heathwood Hall Episcopal, posting a 41-7 win at home. The result was nothing new for Hammond, who have now won five matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Laurence Manning Academy's victory bumped their season record to 8-2 while Trinity Collegiate's loss dropped theirs to 4-7.
Trinity Collegiate was dealt a bruising 41-13 defeat at the hands of Hammond when the teams last played back in October. Can Trinity Collegiate avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
