There's no place like home for the Stonington Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Putnam 70-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Stonington has posted yet this season.
Several Clippers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evan Mailloux, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mailloux has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aysaiah Chavez, who scored seven points along with eight assists and three steals.
Stonington's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Putnam, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Stonington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Scituate at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th. Scituate comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Putnam, they will head out on the road to take on Plainfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
