The James Logan Colts waltzed into Friday's matchup with five straight wins but they left with six. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Moreau Catholic 42-14 at home. James Logan might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four games by 28 points or more this season.
Jonathan Craft looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 150 yards and four touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Craft is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Samuel Flores was another key contributor, rushing for 137 yards on only 11 carries.
Although Moreau Catholic took the loss, they still got scores from Miles Moore and Jameson Ransburg.
James Logan's victory was their sixth straight at home , which pushed their record up to 6-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 San Leandro and 2-8 Tennyson (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 36.7% over those games). As for Moreau Catholic, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. James Logan will face off against De La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in De La Salle's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests. Moreau Catholic is on the road again on Friday and play against Arcata at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Arcata is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.
