The Payne Tech Lions can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Saturday. They put the hurt on American History with a sharp 54-30 victory. Winning may never get old, but Payne Tech sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Several Bald Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Dominique Jackson, who scored five points along with 11 rebounds.
Payne Tech has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. As for American History, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Payne Tech will take on Rahway at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for American History, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Montclair Kimberley Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. American History is coming into the contest with four straight defeats at home, meaning Montclair Kimberley Academy will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
