Goose Creek (S.C.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 55-0 victory over Cane Bay (Summerville, S.C.) on Saturday.
The Gators were up 41-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown catch by
Caleb Kinlaw in the first quarter.
Goose Creek expanded its lead to 55 points entering the fourth quarter. GC scored two times in the third, including once on a
Dantez Bennamon touchdown pass to
Tramel Terry.
The Gators' standout player in the win was Terry. The senior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught two touchdowns. A member of the 2013 Top 100, Terry has now scored 15 touchdowns on the season.
Led by
Gerald Turner, Goose Creek had given up an average of 11.6 points prior to the contest.
Goose Creek (8-0) goes up against Wando in a AAAA Region VII game matchup next week, while Cane Bay (5-3) locks horns with West Florence in a non-conference game.
