The Robinson Rockets lost against the Gatesville Hornets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Robinson took a hard 68-53 fall against Gatesville. Robinson has struggled against Gatesville recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Robinson's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Trevor Stephens, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, and Peyton Tindell who scored 15 points. Stephens hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Robinson's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-18. As for Gatesville, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 24-10.
Robinson will square off against La Vega at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. La Vega will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Robinson surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gatesville, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against China Spring at 8:00 p.m. Gatesville is facing China Spring at the right time seeing as China Spring is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
