Fort Thomas found their leader in underclassman Kaylee Benally, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Benally has scored at least 25% of Fort Thomas' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Chapman, who scored 6 points along with 5 steals.
Fort Thomas' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Valley Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Fort Thomas will take on St. Michael at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hayden at 5:30 p.m. Hayden comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
