For the first time this season, Winamac will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to take on the Argos Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Winamac has three straight victories, Argos has nine straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Winamac will bounce into Friday's game after beating Knox, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors took down the Redskins 61-46 on Tuesday.

Winamac's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaybin Hines, who went 5-for-8 to rack up 17 points in addition to six boards and four steals. The matchup was Hines' third in a row with at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Potthoff, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 17 points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Argos played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-18 loss at the hands of LaVille. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-6.
Winamac will have to keep a close watch on Ayden Vanderweele and Angelo McMillen, a pair of players who had a big impact on Argos' prior game. Vanderweele posted four points, while McMillen scored no points. McMillen also put up a steal, which was his first of the season.
Winamac's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Argos, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Winamac just can't miss this season, having drained 49.6% of their field goals per game. It's a different story for Argos, though, as they've only made 24.1% of their shots this season. Given Winamac's sizable advantage in that area, the Dragons will need to find a way to close that gap.
Everything came up roses for Winamac against Argos in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 61-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
